The correct keys for you to burn fat and lose weight

There are many easy ways to lose weight, but the real problem is to keep your weight in ideal condition. The results of the world's largest study have found a new formula to make the body always slim. Is that?

A world's largest international study conducted on more than 900 adults and 800 children from 8 European countries, found the most effective new formula to lose weight and keep the body slim, by eating high-protein or low-index diets Glycemic (GI).

This formula means people can eat lots of lean meat, beans, low-fat dairy products and little processed starch foods, such as bread and white rice.

The glycemic index (GI) applies to carbohydrates and is a measure of how quickly the carbohydrates are converted into glucose. The lower the GI, the slower the digestion process and the greater the satiety it gets.

A low GI diet allows people to eat until they are full without taking into account the calories and without raising the weight.

"This finding is actually suggesting an outdated diet, I'm actually hostile to GI, but I'm very surprised that GI is as important as protein in maintaining weight," explained Professor Arne Astrup from the University of Copenhagen, who led the study, Dilansir Independent, Friday (26/11/2010).

According to Prof Astrup, a diet high in protein has been known as a way to lose weight, because proteins delay stomach emptying and increase insulin production.

And by adding carbohydrates with low glycemic indexes that are digested slowly, then people will feel full for long periods of time.

"Motivation is the key to maintaining weight and high protein diets and low GI makes it easier to lose weight and keep the body slim," explained Prof Astrup further.

Examples of low GI foods are as follows:

Bread and wheat cereal
Almost all vegetables
Fruits such as apples, pears and low GI oranges. But wine, kiwi fruit and high melon GI because it contains a lot of sugar.
Dark chocolate is low GI, as it slows the absorption of sugar.
Hot baked potatoes are actually high in GI, but when baked potatoes are cooled it will make the starch digest for longer so low GI.

And examples of daily menus that fit low-GI and high-protein diets are as follows:

Breakfast menu
Low-fat milk, whole wheat bread with low-fat cheese and citrus fruits.

Lunch menu
Wheat bread with lean meat or chicken, tuna steak with tomato sauce and vegetables.

Dinner menu
Stir-fry turkey, vegetables, wheat paste, avocado salad with feta cheese (Greek cheese usually made from goat or sheep's milk)
